AR Voting Campaign

final

Role: Producer, Developer

Type: Just for Fun

This is an AR project that I decided to produce after using the idea in my response to a brief from The One School's application, which I was accepted for. The brief asked us to deliver a campaign that got young people to go to Vote.org to register or request mailin voting ballots. My idea placed AR image targets around Manhattan and Brooklyn, NYC that displayed civil rights imagery over a postcard theme. The goal was to get young people fueled up to vote by showing archival footage of the long fight that has been fought to get us where we are today, and the urgency of continuing the fight, by voicing your mind.

Sticker Distrubution & Results

The postcard graphic above was printed on 73 postcards and stickers. During the last week before the voter registration deadline in NY, the stickers and postcards were placed around select locations in brooklyn and manhattan, NY. The campagin was not promoted in any other way than just placing them in noticable spots (hoping they weren't taken down over the course of the week). The google analytics of the user traffic to this AR experience are posted below, with the chart illustrating the active users over the 7-day period.
